It’s a good time to start the season with a blog. My hope is to keep everyone updated on what some of you are doing over the globe and to help remind, nudge, encourage, and teach about what to expect as you go through your training into your season. By now you should know what races you will be training for and what goals you may have even if it’s without a race. I’m excited to see the beginning of a new season. Last year was a great year for me as a coach. I watched Dennis Johnson pedal his bike across the country to a record breaking finish that left the entire crew in awe of him. Not only did he absolutely just dig in and show us how to do it, but he was the absolute nicest person you can ever imagine crewing for throughout the entire race.
I also had the pleasure coaching Ling Er Choo from Singapore through both the 70.3 Putrajaya IM in Malaysia and the full IM in Langkawi as well later in the year with second and 1st place finishes respectively. This qualified her for the World Championships in Austria this coming August as well as for the World Championships in Kona this October. We are both looking forward to the upcoming year and are all very excited to watch her race in both events.
